Workshop for supporting new trainees
‘Fit for the Future’ – with its state-of-the-art training workshop, the Poesia Group in Unterkulm is adapting to the digital age and offering future-oriented training for aspiring polymechanics and plastics technologists. Last Thursday, the project was presented with the staff present.
Unterkulm’s poesia group has invested around half a million Swiss francs in apprenticeship training. ‘A lot of this cost was spent on software’, said project manager Michael Brändli, but a modern 3-axis milling centre, a 3D printer for plastic parts and a lathe also provide optimal working conditions for apprentices and trainers. ‘The digital sector in particular requires large investments in this day and age, but also offers excellent career opportunities’, said Michael Brändli, reflecting on a job profile that he believes to be changing very much for the better, and one in which the creation of data using CAD programs and the operation of complex equipment will take centre stage. The aim of the Poesia Group is to get apprentices excited about technical training and provide them with solid, state-of-the-art basic training for marketable, motivated professionals. Nevertheless, the training workshop will support ongoing production within the Poesia Group with tools, equipment and technical support. Daniel Brändli and Sandro Roth are responsible for the management of the training workshop and would like to prepare a new polymechanic or plastics technologist for professional life every two years.
Lokoform introduces itself to the staff of the Poesia Group
A Lokoform AG production machine has been in use at the Poesia Group for some time now, and for around two years the team has been leasing the spacious premises in Unterkulm’s Feldmatte. Josef Lochmann took the opportunity to introduce his employees to the staff of the Poesia Group and was delighted with their sound, perfectly complementary cooperation. ‘Naturally, Lokoform AG has always opened its doors to apprentices’, said Josef Lochmann, ensuring a good connection with Lokoform AG’s milling specialists.
Innovation in Mittleres Wynental
With its training workshop, the Poesia Group offers the perfect conditions for the modern training of polymechanics in Mittleres Wynental. Digitalisation is transforming traditional craftsmanship into a field that is characterised by the creation and implementation of datasets, and which promises to remain exciting in the future. With its investments, the Poesia Group is adapting to new trends at an early stage, offering exciting training in order to transfer the know-how and substance of craftsmanship to the digital world, and to ensure this craftsmanship continues to be further developed. A suitable apprentice will be recruited in the coming weeks.
