With the Federal Council decision of March 16, 2020, businesses that do not serve basic services will be closed until further notice. This also applies to our sales counter in Unterkulm, which remains closed until at least April 19. Nevertheless, we strive to ensure the goods for you throughout Switzerland and beyond.  

 

Our web shop and sales and telephone advice via our office staff and engineering are currently not affected by this regulation. The poesia group has initiated and implemented appropriate measures to protect its employees.

 

Herzog Dichtungen AG was sold on age grounds and the sale will be realised in the context of a sustainable succession plan. Owner Walter Herzog is happy that he has found a buyer in the poesia group that specializes in seals and seal technology. The Aargau-based company has been optimally established on the market for years and its production is based in Switzerland. Selling to the poesia group enables many synergies and a promising future.

 

„Die Poesia Holding AG wird das Geschäftsjahr 2019 positiv und besser als im Vorjahr abschliessen“, zieht Emil Brändli, Gründer, Verwaltungsratspräsident und Haupteigentümer des Familienunternehmens, eine erste Zwischenbilanz. Zwar habe man den ambitiösen Budgetkurs nicht ganz erreicht. Der Verwaltungsrat werde dennoch „mit dem Resultat zufrieden sein“. Zudem sei er davon überzeugt, dass auch die jüngsten Investitionen „richtig“ seien.

 

 

Thanks to its flexibility, poesia can respond with precision to its customers’ wishes and produce custom seals at the dimensions and with the material requested. The seals are cut to size according to plan at the dimensions specified by the customer. Afterwards up to four lengths per window with a 45 degree mitre cut are glued together by hand.

‘Fit for the Future’ – with its state-of-the-art training workshop, the Poesia Group in Unterkulm is adapting to the digital age and offering future-oriented training for aspiring polymechanics and plastics technologists. Last Thursday, the project was presented with the staff present.

 

The Poesia Group’s huge tower can be seen from some way off. Employees are are often asked, ‘What’s in that building?’ The answer to the riddle is quite simple: it’s the warehouse. It currently has ten built-in shuttles.

 

The term ‘Swissness’ was created in the late 1990s and stands for products that are made in Switzerland. ‘Swissness’ stands for typical Swiss attributes such as fairness, precision, cleanliness and reliability and is intended to help market Swiss products abroad.
