A well-maintained bathroom is an important calling card for a hotel. Guests look forward to well-maintained sanitary facilities. This includes the toilet as well as the washbasin, shower and bathtub.

The shower door must always be clean and the seal must ensure that the water does not flow out of the shower. It is therefore essential to replace the seals in the bathroom of the hotel room at regular intervals. This is the case at the latest when the seals become brittle and yellowed or when the sealing lip shows cracks.

The poesia group has a range of around 200 types of all common brands and systems. The seals for shower doors are available in lengths of 2.01 m, 2.20 m and 2.50 m and can be supplied from just one piece. They are usually transparent, but some seals are also available in black/transparent. They are used as a finish on the floor or on the wall. The range includes sealing lips with or without magnets and seals without magnets for round showers. After delivery, the customer can cut the ordered seals to size themselves. 

Cooling and saving energy
In professional catering, as well as in department stores and wholesalers, drinks and food must be perfectly chilled. The poesia group has a huge range of seals for refrigerators, freezers, cold rooms, cold stores, wine cabinets, refrigerated drawers and minibars.

The regular replacement of old, brittle or defective seals is necessary as the seals lose their effectiveness due to wear, tear, cracks or leaks. If this is the case, they no longer fulfil the food hygiene requirements. In addition, valuable energy is lost, resulting in high energy costs.

Simple ordering options
If replacement gaskets are required, it is often unclear which type fits exactly. The poesia specialists are then on hand to help the customer find the right gaskets. The sample service is particularly popular. Customers can send defective or worn seals to the poesia group specialists.

The poesia team checks whether suitable replacement seals are available. If this is not the case, the customer will receive an alternative seal to try out. The test samples are provided free of charge.

If a completely new gasket is required, the consultation includes an all-round service: from the idea sketch to the production of the ready-to-install gasket profile. New seals in TPE and silicone can be produced from 300 metres. Refrigerator gaskets are made to measure directly according to customer requirements. These unique services are highly appreciated by customers.

GASTIA will open its doors in St. Gallen from 23 to 25 March 2025. The poesia group employs around 60 people, including five apprentices. It operates at its main site in Unterkulm and at an external site in Urdorf. It produces and processes seals made of TPE, silicone and LSR as well as EPDM, NBR, CR, FKM and sponge rubber for applications in the construction, technology, transport and food industries.
