From 17 to 19 January 2023, the "Swiss Plastic Expo" in Lucerne offered a first-class platform for the plastics industry. The poesia group took part for the seventh time.

200 exhibitors presented new products and innovative solutions from a wide variety of applications in the plastics industry. With around 4'100 visitors, interest in the popular industry trade fair was once again very high. The focus was particularly on digitization, increasing efficiency and sustainability.

Pointed statement
From the point of view of the poesia group, the quality of the visitors was pleasingly high. This was evident in the interesting technical discussions at their stand. This year, it was divided into two areas: molded parts made of silicone injection molding and extrusion parts, which are produced with bio-based thermoplastic (TPE), among other things. Many visitors to the stand already had previous knowledge of silicone injection molding. During the discussions on bio-thermoplastics, the poesia team noticed a great curiosity of the visitors, as sustainability and ecology continue to be a popular topic.

The discussions with interested parties resulted in various concrete requests for new projects. Some visitors even brought gaskets for which they need replacements. For one day each, the poesia group gave the commercial apprentices the opportunity to get a taste of trade fair air for the first time.

Award Nomination
Even though the poesia group did not win the coveted Swiss Plastics Award in the "Business" category on Wednesday, the nomination was a great honor. This was accompanied by a fifteen-minute presentation as part of the symposium on Thursday morning under the title: "Inflatable Seals – Inexpensive Magic Thing".

The next Swiss Plastics Info will take place in 2026.

The poesia groupemploys more than 70 people including four apprentices. It operates at the main site in Unterkulm as well as at the external locations Hochdorf and Urdorf. It produces plastic seals for applications in the construction, engineering, transport and food industries.
